Employer Subscriptions
Q:
Who can open a Cachinko Employer Account and what are the requirements?
A:
Any size company can use Cachinko — there are no minimum employee requirements. There is also no maximum to the number of recruiters permitted on your account (but there is a per-user monthly access fee). Whether your company needs our entire SEO Job Site with Social Plugins package, or you just need a few a la carte Social Media Plugins , Cachinko can offer a competitive monthly subscription fee for the implementation and maintenance of your custom Cachinko Social Recruiting Solution.

Q:
What is Cachinko’s billing process?
A:
Your monthly subscription is based on the components of your personalized Cachinko Social Recruiting Solution, such as:

• How many recruiters are on your account ?
• Is Cachinko developing a new tool specifically for your company ?
• Do you need a custom branded SEO Job Site ?
• Do you need an SEO Job Listing Directory ?
• Which Social Plugins do you want ?
• Are you paying rewards for referrals ?

Cachinko charges a percentage fee on all Referral Rewards that have been paid. For Example, if your company pays a Placement Reward for a referred Software Developer that was hired, Cachinko will add its fee to your next month’s subscription payment. If you budgeted for 2 Placement Rewards (because you needed 2 developers) you will still only pay the 1 Placement Reward for the 1 hire, and Cachinko will only charge its fee on the 1 Placement Reward that was paid. Click here to learn how our Referral Budget Calculator works.

All billing charges happen automatically on the credit card assigned to your account. It is easy to manage your Referral Budget through Cachinko. You can set spending limit parameters such as a Monthly Referral Reward Budget and maximums for Introduction and Placement Rewards.

When you pay an Introduction Reward for a referral, the cash reward is paid immediately to the referrer via PayPal. Placement Rewards are paid 30, 60 or 90 days after the referred person is hired. The 30, 60 or 90 day wait is determined by the recruiter who posts the job listing.

Q:
How do Cachinko’s subscription fees compare to standard executive search fees?
A:
Cachinko is the perfect alternative to paying hefty ‘Third Party Recruiter’ (TPR) fees. On average, these agencies charge a fee equivalent to 20–25% of the position’s first-year salary. That means paying approximately $15,000 in search fees to fill a single position that pays $60,000 a year!

Cachinko Savings Example: If you offer 5 Introduction Rewards at $200 each and a Placement Reward of $2,000, your costs would only be $3,000. Add to that Cachinko’s 25% to 35% Referral Reward fee, and your total cost to fill the position could be as low as $3750! Based on an average salary of $60,000, you will save over $11,000 on every hire you make through Cachinko.

Talent Community Networks
Q:
Employer Privacy: Who can see my Talent Networks?
A:
Our patent pending technology allows you to control the access to your Cachinko powered Talent Community. The employees, candidates and recruiters in your Talent Community have restricted access to each other. Only contacts within a Talent Network can see the other members of that Talent Network.

For Example, all the Accountants in your “Finance” Network can see each other and can apply for or refer their friends to your finance jobs; but, they can’t see the Designers in your “Marketing” Network. PLUS, any contacts that your Talent Community Members add to their own Personal Networks through Cachinko CANNOT access your Company’s Talent Community. Cachinko also makes it easy to transfer Talent Networks between recruiting personnel. If a recruiter leaves their position, the relationships stay with your company.

We're serious about protecting your privacy. Read our Privacy Policy to learn more.

Q:
How do I set up and organize my Talent Networks?
A:
To begin, login to your Cachinko account and select the “Talent Networks” tab, then click the “Create a Network” button. Create different Talent Networks to categorize your employees and other contacts. Your contacts can be in multiple Talent Networks — For Example, you might choose to create Talent Networks for your "Texas" and “New York” offices. But then those contacts might also get organized in Talent Networks based on their role at the company, such as “Management” or “Customer Service”. As you import your contacts , you’ll be able to designate the appropriate Talent Network(s) for each.

An email will automatically be sent to each imported contact, inviting them to join your Talent Community. As contacts ‘accept’ your invitation, they will be placed into the Talent Network you designated at import, or the default “Unfiled” Network if no other network was assigned.

Only contacts within the same Talent Network can see each other, which allows you to control access among those contacts (this privacy feature is unique to Cachinko). You can create as many Talent Networks as you'd like and make changes to them at any time.

Q:
How & why should I rate members of my Talent Community
A:
Cachinko uses a 5-star rating system that displays near each contact‘s name. To rate a contact, simply click on the star that you want to be that contact’s rating (ie. the 3rd star to rank them with 3 out of 5 stars). No one else can see your ratings and you can change them at anytime.

Talent Community Rating System Example

It's important to rate your employees in order to establish the credibility and reputation of contacts they might add to their own Personal Networks and potentially refer to your job listings. Based on these ratings and member feedback, Cachinko's Recommendation Engine utilizes this collective wisdom to prioritize referrals to help you make informed decisions about potential referred candidates whom you don't personally know.

Q:
How do employers post a job opening and broadcast it to their Talent Community?
A:
Login to your Cachinko account and select the “Create a Job Post” button at the top of the page. Enter all the job details, including the recipients (all employees, specific Talent Networks or individual employees) and ‘Save’ the Job Post. Or you can simply import the job from your ATS.

To share a previously posted job with your network, select the job on your “Jobs I’ve Posted” page. Then, click the blue “Forward” button and you will be able to select the recipients on the next page.

Cachinko’s Job Marketing Plugin, Talent Community Plugin and Social Media Plugins were created for job broadcasting.

Q:
How do passive candidates receive job postings?
A:
By default, passive candidates* automatically receive job alerts as long as they are no more than 3-degrees from the recruiter who posted the job listing (providing they have not turned off their “auto-receive job alerts” setting). Plus, you can track the connection path for your Talent Community members, applicants and referrals. That “connection path” allows you to obtain quick reference checks and track candidate source information for reporting purposes.Only contacts within a Talent Network can see the other members of that Talent Network (visibility can also be disabled on your Settings page).

3-Degrees Example:

A Corporate Recruiter or Hiring Manager (CRHM) for a hospital posts a job listing to his Scrub Nurses Network. Sara is in that network.

The CRHM and John are both in Sara’s Houston Nurses Network — THUS, John is a 2nd degree connection of the CRHM and can see his Job Listings.

But, there is also John’s Texas Nurses Network where he put Sara — Those people are 3rd degree connections. They can see the CRHM’s job listings, but they cannot make referrals to them.

Referral Rewards (The TruReferralSM Program for Employers)
Q:
What are Introduction and Placement Referral Rewards?
A:
Many companies have an Employee Referral Program (ERP) This program allows employees to refer their qualified friends to job openings within the company. Most companies compensate their employees with a referral reward if the person they referred gets hired. This is called a Placement Reward because the referral “placed” a qualified candidate in an open position.

An Introduction Reward is a special referral motivator. When an employer posts a job listing, their employees can recommend their qualified friends and share their friends’ resumes with their employer. If the employer wants to consider the candidate for the open position, they “Accept” the referral and pay the Introduction Reward. In exchange, the employer receives the candidate‘s contact information and can interview them for the open position.

Cachinko’s Referral Management Plugin takes ERP’s to the next level by allowing employers to receive referrals from their entire Talent Community (Employees and Candidates PLUS their Friends too!), not just their employees.

Q:
How do Employers receive referrals for a job opening?
A:
Even though job alerts trickle-down 3-degrees, referrals can only be made by contacts within 2-degrees of the recruiter posting the jobs. In other words, you'll only receive referrals from trusted sources — your Talent Community and their friends*. Plus, you can track the connection path for your Talent Community members, applicants and referrals. That “connection path” allows you to obtain quick reference checks and track candidate source information for reporting purposes.

*‘Friends’ refers to people they are connected to on Cachinko.com.

Q:
How much should be offered for Introduction and Placement Referral Rewards?
A:
Cachinko recommends you allocate 5%* of the job's salary for the Referral Reward Budget. The Introduction and Placement Rewards can then be calculated as a portion of that budget with our Referral Budget Calculator.

For Example:
$80,000 = The Open Position’s Salary

$ 4,000 = Your TruReferral Budget — 5%* of recommended annual job compensation ($80,000)
$ 1,000 = 25% Referral Reward Fee ** Balance = $3,000
$    800 = Introduction Rewards — 20% of Your TruReferral Budget. Balance = $2,200
$ 2,400 = Placement Reward

The $800 for Introduction Rewards can then be divided into as many Introduction Rewards as you wish. For example, 8 Referrals at $100 each.

*This % can be adjusted to account for factors such as the job’s degree of criticality, special skills required, etc.
**This cost can vary. It is determined by the number of Referral Rewards that are accepted and paid. Learn More >

Q:
How are Referral Rewards earned?
A:
When you refer a qualified friend* for a job opening that offers Referral Rewards, the employer reviews their resume and any feedback you provide. If they want to consider your friend for the job, they will “Accept” your referral (which allows them to see your friend’s contact information) and you will instantly receive an Introduction Reward in your PayPal account. If your friend is also hired for the open position, you will receive a Placement Reward as well. Placement Reward payments take up to 90 days to post to PayPal accounts. If your friend leaves the job in less than 3 months, you might not receive the Placement Reward.

The average Introduction Reward is $100. The average Placement Reward is $1,000.

*Your qualified friend must be connected to you on Cachinko.com.

Q:
How does Cachinko handle tax reporting for Referral Rewards?
A:
Cachinko handles tax reporting for Referral Rewards by filing directly with the IRS. Employers pay their referral rewards through Cachinko, so technically it is Cachinko paying the rewards. Cachinko requests & confirms each referrer's W-9 once their reward payments reach $600 (in a single calendar year, according to IRS Guidelines ). (LINK to IRS.gov in New Tab/Window) Cachinko also issues a 1099 form to the IRS on behalf of your company, but does NOT provide reports with W-9 information to the company.
